Chrisette Michele is an American by her nationality. She is an R&B and soul singer, and songwriter. Michele has won a Grammy Award for the Best Urban/Alternative Performance in the year 2009 for her song titled as Be OK.

Previously, Chrisette was signed to Motown Records and Caroline/Capitol Records. He was then dropped from her label in 2017. That same year, Michele made an announcement about her plans to release new music independently through her own label called Rich Hipster.

Chrisette Michele is originally from Central Islip, New York, USA. She came into this world on 8th December of the year 1982 which has now made him reach at the age of 36. Michele was grown up in Patchogue. Her mother was a psychologist whereas her father was a sociologist.

For her education, Chrisette went to study at the Five Towns College located in Dix Hills, New York from where she graduated with a Vocal Performance degree. While she was in her high school, Michele led gospel choirs.

Chrisette has not got married yet. She is engaged with her fiancé Doug Ellison. After having an affair, the couple got engaged with each other on 15th November of 2015. The pair revealed about their engagement via their Instagram page.

Chrisette Michele: Career

Chrisette has been featured on several of the hip hop albums such as on the album of The Game LAX on Let Us Live. Her debut album entitled as I Am was released on 18th June of 2007. The song called Your Joy was released as a free single of the week on iTunes.

In December of 2007, she released Be OK as her third single which charted at number 64 on the US Hot R&B/ Hip Hop Songs chart. The following year, Chrisette made her appearance on the track called Rising Up from the Roots’ album “Rising Down”.

She had also starred as herself on the Cw’s Girlfriends in an episode called What’s Black-a-Lachin? that was aired on 11th February 2008. Michele then started to record for her 2nd album Epiphany in mid-2008.

Later, she again released her 3rd studio album called Let Freedom Reign on 30th November 2010. That album includes her singles I m a Star and Goodbye Game. That same year on 5th November, she also released her first mixtape called Love Thy Brother.

On 7th December 2012, Michele released her 2nd mixtape entitled as Audrey Hepburn. She then released her 4th album on 11th June 2013 which is entitled as Better.  The next year on 24th November, Chrisette released her latest project called The Lyricist’s Opus for the digital download.

On 12th November she released a single entitled as Steady which was from her upcoming 5th studio album “Milestone” that was scheduled to release via her own label Rich Hipster on 10th June of 2016.
