Seven players with binds to the Georgia golf program, including current Bulldog Davis Thompson, will contend this week in the 120th U.S. Open Championship. 

The beginner Thompson will be joined by experts Harris English, Brian Harman, Kevin Kisner, Greyson Sigg, Brendon Todd, and Bubba Watson in the 144-man field at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York. 

"This will be an extraordinary encounter," said Thompson, who will be lesser for the 2020-21 Bulldogs. "It's a rush, an honor. It shows that difficult work pays off. This is significant and it's golf's most prominent test, so I'll see where my game fits and I can work off of that." 

Thompson will be combined with recognizable appearances in English and Todd in the initial two rounds. They will start Thursday at 7:34 a.m. also, Friday at 12:54 p.m. 

Sigg will kick things off for the Bulldogs on Thursday at 6:50 a.m. (12:10 p.m. Friday), trailed by Harman at 7:01 a.m. (12:21 p.m. Friday), Watson at 12:54 p.m. (7:34 a.m. Friday), and Kisner at 1:16 p.m. (7:56 a.m. Friday). 

While the U.S. Open will be challenged without fans, Golf Channel, NBC, and Peacock will communicate from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Computerized streaming will be accessible at USOpen.com. 

Kisner qualified for the U.S. Open as one of the players from the 2019 Tour Championship, while Todd and Watson picked up passage dependent on being in the best 70 in the March 2020 Official World Golf Ranking.

Harman endured the 2019-20 FedExCup Final Points List for players not already absolved, Sigg qualified as one of the Korn Ferry Tour focuses pioneers, Thompson was picked from his World Amateur Golf Ranking in August, and English earned a spot dependent on the August Official World Golf Ranking.
