Jason Garrett is originally from Abington, Pennsylvania, USA. He came into this world on 28th March of the year 1966 which has made him reach at the age of 52. He is the son of Jim Garrett who was an assistant coach for New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns.

For his education, Garrett went to the prep school at University School located in Hunting Valley, Ohio. He was the letterman in football, baseball, and basketball. Jason got graduated from the University School in 1984.

Besides that, he also attended the kindergarten through 2nd grade at Holy Cross School in Rumson, New Jersey. Later, Garrett was accepted in Princeton where he started as the starting quarterback of a freshman team.

Jason Garrett: Career

Jason was signed by New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent after the 1989 NFL Draft. He was eventually signed to practice squad. In 1991, he started at quarterback for San Antonio Riders of the World League of American Football.

Later on 4th June 1991, Garrett was signed by Ottawa Rough Riders of Canadian Football League. But he was released in August. In 1992, Garrett was signed as a free agent. He was then released on 31st August and later again signed to the practice squad of the team.

In the year 2000, Jason was signed by the New York Giants as a free agent to backup Kerry Collins. On 15th March 2004, he signed with Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was later cut on 31st August. Jason was again resigned by the team on 13th October.

Prior to that, after retiring as a player, Garrett became a quarterback coach for Miami Dolphins under the head coach Nick Saban. In January of 2007, he was hired by Dallas Cowboys as an offensive coordinator.

Jason Garrett was later named as an interim head coach of the Cowboys on 8th November 20010 after the 4th years head coach Wade Phillips.
