Jason Garrett is originally from Abington, Pennsylvania, USA. He came into this world on 28^th March of the year 1966 which has made him reach at the age of 52. He is the son of Jim Garrett who was an assistant coach for New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns.

For his education, Garrett went to the prep school at University School located in Hunting Valley, Ohio. He was the letterman in football, baseball, and basketball. Jason got graduated from the University School in 1984.

Besides that, he also attended the kindergarten through 2^nd grade at Holy Cross School in Rumson, New Jersey. Later, Garrett was accepted in Princeton where he started as the starting quarterback of a freshman team.

Jason Garrett: Career

Jason was signed by New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent after the 1989 NFL Draft. He was eventually signed to practice squad. In 1991, he started at quarterback for San Antonio Riders of the World League of American Football.

Later on 4^th June 1991, Garrett was signed by Ottawa Rough Riders of Canadian Football League. But he was released in August. In 1992, Garrett was signed as a free agent. He was then released on 31^st August and later again signed to the practice squad of the team.

In the year 2000, Jason was signed by the New York Giants as a free agent to backup Kerry Collins. On 15^th March 2004, he signed with Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was later cut on 31^st August. Jason was again resigned by the team on 13^th October.

Prior to that, after retiring as a player, Garrett became a quarterback coach for Miami Dolphins under the head coach Nick Saban. In January of 2007, he was hired by Dallas Cowboys as an offensive coordinator.
