Joanne Rogers, the widow of Pittsburgh symbol Fred Rogers, has passed on, as indicated by Fred Rogers Productions and the McFeely-Rogers Foundation. She was 92.

Fred Rogers Productions has delivered this assertion on Mrs. Rogers passing: 

"Fred Rogers Productions is profoundly disheartened by the death of Joanne Rogers. The caring accomplice of Fred Rogers for over 50 years, she proceeded with their shared obligation to supporting youngsters and families after his demise as the seat of the leading group of Fred Rogers Productions."

"Joanne was a splendid and achieved performer, a superb promoter for human expressions, and a dear companion to everybody in our association. "

"We stretch out our genuine sympathies to Joanne's family and the large number of individuals who had the advantage of knowing and cherishing her." 

After his passing, Mrs. Rogers carried on his tradition of advancing consideration and comprehension and making this a superior world for youngsters. 

"What you saw of Joanne Rogers when you conversed with her on the telephone or face to face, she was in every case brimming with soul, fun. That was Joanne," said David Newell, who played Mr. McFeely on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. 

In 2019, she was given the George Romero Legacy Award at Steeltown Entertainment's 2019 Elly Awards. 

Steeltown said that Joanne protected her better half's heritage while likewise assisting youthful movie producers with learning film and media.
